It was a fantastic evening last night at the Duke. The evening was sold out, with the restaurant area action being filmed and shown on the TV screens around the pub so everyone could see the Chelsea legends clearly.
Yes, Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris was with the great Tommy Docherty at the Duke, with MC Micky Pugh providing the jokes and Q&A microphone. It was fantastic.
It was Ron’s 6th visit to the Duke, which is our very own home of the Chelsea Legends. Tommy ‘the Doc’ Docherty had some fantastic stories to share, with insights in to the current game and some hilarious tales of his days at Chelsea and his other managed clubs.
The hot buffet also went down well, with a wonderful array of dishes to enjoy. Feedback was all good – thank you very much. Team Duke were on great form too, making sure no-one’s glasses were dry and the tables were all cleaned of plates at the end of the buffet ‘half time’ break. Thank you, girls.
