It was “Championes’ Night” @ the Duke last night – where we had 40 Chelsea fans in the Bar for an evening of Chelsea celebrations.
40 Pub regulars and other personal invitees were all in attendance to watch the 2011-12 season highlights, which showed extended highlights of the Bayern Munich v Chelsea Champions’ league Final in Munich on 19th May.
After the season’s highlights we laid on a finger buffet, with everyone filling up on the many platters of usual favourites.
After the buffet it was time for the fans’ view DVD – a DVD compilation of clips provided by fans. Mobile phone video clips from inside the ground, including the penalty shot out from the Bayern end, gave much pleasure to all – bringing back the memories of the evening in Munich, with everyone having gone to the game.
It was a fantastic evening – made all the better with the guest appearance of ‘Big Ears’ – yes, the Champions’ League Winners’ trophy was back at the Duke for a 2nd time, with more guys taking advantage of a photo opportunity.
