| Government says 4th July for opening! – 18 June 2020 Phone us on 01344 882736 to make a booking! Yes, we are finally opening. Saturday 4th July will be a celebration here in Britain as well as in the USA, but for very different reasons! The Duke will open again on 4th July. Correpsondence received from various bodies confirm that the date given by the government the other day is now taken as firm. You will see some changes at the Duke, but all are required at the time being so to operate legally. There will also be a large ‘flexitent’ in the garden, so to provide extra safe dining. You will notice anti-bacetrial wash deispnsers in the pub, and the odd perspex screen on the bar, so to comply with the cleanliness safety & distancing etc. But dedicated service you will definitely be getting – just like always! We do hope to see you all soon. Bookings are being taken. Do please note the menu will be limited, but still plenty to choose from – please bear with us while we get up & running, though! Stay safe.
