The Duke’s Head Chef, Brian, passed away today, 6th May 2021, after a short illness.
It is a very sad day here at The Duke for all staff at this tragic news.
Brian gave invaluable service for many years here at the Duke and will be sorely missed. Messages, calls and texts are being received in abundance already from regulars who wish to pay respects and offer their kind thoughts.
Our thoughts and commiserations are with his wife, Susannah, and his two young daughters at this extremely hard and trying time.
This is a very sad day for everyone here at the Duke. RIP Brian. You will be sorely missed by all.
